Squeezed tops Rp 20 M, Brigadier Kumala waste police uniform
     
               
 

            Extortion cases experienced by members of the Directorate of Police Drug Bengkulu Police Brigadier Kumala Tua Arita. Suspected offender is a former boss who now serves as the Chief of Police Superintendent Seluma Parhorian Lumban Gaol. The victim claimed to have been a loss of Rp 20 billion.

     "Lumban begged to pay immediately, and asked me to pay Rp 80 million to Rp 100 million with an interest rate of 10 to 15 percent over four years. It's been since 2010," continued the story.

Kumala claimed to regularly pay obligations until the debt is paid off. However, instead of the problem is completed, Lumban accused still ask for installment payments. If payments stop, he did not hesitate to threaten to fire and imprison Kumala.

Victims are then reported to the police superiors Bengkulu, along with proof of deposit accounts in the name of the wife of Lumban and from Surabaya named Ngocek Siong. The case is then up to the Police Headquarters.

     "I request that the excess money refunded and weighted according to the law of criminal law at the Police Headquarters last," he said.

Kumala reported Lumban with defamation. At present the code of conduct hearing his case is still ongoing Propam Bengkulu.
